Cetacean Celebration!

Our team at CWR have officially called this behaviour Nurdling!  This describes the cuddly and close tactile relationship between a humpback whale calf and their mother, whereby the calf often rolls and swims around and around distinctly touching the cows’ body.  In this situation of nurdling, this little calf is gently resting it’s right pectoral fin on mum’s rostrum – beautiful!
